Guten Tag! I am Sophia Jaramillo Arciniegas, the president of the German club for the 2024/2025 school year. I am in 10th grade and I'm taking German because I'm interested in learning a new language and maybe getting deployed there. I'm also learning German so I can apply to the United States Air Force Academy. Also, I'm a proud Colombian and Civil Air Patrol cadet.

Hallo! I'm Bianca and the secretary of the German Club. I'm currently a senior at Cypress Bay and this is the tenth language class that I have taken so far. Clearly, I have an interest in foreign languages, and with German, I will be a polyglot since I already speak Spanish, GuaranÃ, English, and Chinese.

Being raised in a large, mixed family, I've gained an interest in embracing new and different cultures. Germany is SO captivating in many ways, its language, its food, and its heritage. German club is an opportunity for me to immerse myself in something new that I can learn about, and hopefully be a part of in the future.

My main reason for joining this club is to learn about some of the career opportunities that come with studying in Germany. My main hobby is soccer and I am a big fan of the German national team!
